‘Saffron’ is like many elderly ladies we all know. I wanted the lines on her face to show a long life lived, with hardships as well as joys along the way. I painted her in many layers of colourful brushstrokes whilst giving her a sun-kissed skin. What is she saying to you through her eyes?
